Pasta with asparagus and speck

This is extremely tasty and easy to prepare recipe. I have to say, this recipe is not for the diet))

So, you'll need

80-90 grams of pasta for one person (I took 180 grams of whole wheat pasta)
200g of asparagus
100g italian speck (I took it thin sliced, but it is more convenient to take one thick slice, then you can sliver it)
25-50 grams of cheese Grana Padano or Parmigiano
small onion
olive oil, salt, pepper

So, put on fire two pots of water - one for pasta, one for asparagus. Clean and cut Asparagus, then boil it for 5 minutes about. Do not forget to salt thw water slightly.

While the asparagus is boiling, chop the onion finely and fry till it became golden brown in olive oil. Then add about half or two thirds of asparagus from the pan. Fry is about 5 minutes.

If you have purchased already grated cheese, it's good) I bought a piece and ground it in a blender.

Add the asparagus with onions from the frying pan in the blender and a bit of water from the pan with asparagus and make the cream.

Can be done, by the way, on the contrary - first boil a whole asparagus, then slice it. In this case, in the blender you will put thicker and stiffer bases and we leave gentle tops for second part of the sauce)

Fry the speck.

Speck can, of course, be replaced with the bacon, but it will probably be even more difficult to digest and heavy dish, because the bacon is more fat. It is possible in this case to drain oil from the frying pan abter frying the bacon.

Now add the rest of the asparagus to the speck in the frying pan and fry a little

Put the sauce from the blender into the pan and mix everything.

Cook pasta as it is written on the packaging. But of course we are preparing like all italians, "al dente" - that is when it gets stuck in the teeth a little.

So, when the pasta is ready, "al dente", drain it and mix it with the sauce. Turn the fire off, leave for a minute and serve on a plate.

How I cook Ratatouille in the oven

Ratatouille, as probably all you know from the cartoon, it's stewed vegetables. Its easy to prepare and delicious (and good for diet). There are many recipes you can find in Internet. IThis is my own recipe for Ratatouille, proved by my personal experience. I tried different recipes from the Internet and I have found for myself the most delicious version. Believe me - it's Yummy! I cook it in the oven and not in the pot.

Unfortunately, I forgot to make intermediate photos, but I think from the photo of the final product you already want to taste it))

You will need: zucchini, eggplant, paprika, tomatoes, potatoes, onions and cheese sprinkled on top (I sprinkled, like all Italians parmesan), you can use also Provencal spices.

To begin, chop onions, paprika and tomatoes (separately) and fry first onions, then add the paprika and at the end tomatoes. At this stage, add salt and spices. You've got the sauce, which we will later fill in vegetables.

Slice vegetables, eggplant can be semi-round, or if they are very large - cut into quarters. The same is for the potatoes. Well, zucchini are small)

Prepare an oven dish. Pour a little of the sauce on the bottom, then begin to put vegetables. This can be also done during preparing the sauce and yes, it is the longest part )) But I like how it looks in the end, so I do it. In course - eggplant, zucchini, potatoes, etc., in rows. If  somewhere remains some space, fill it in with some pieces. At the end pour sauce almost till the "roof" and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees until done. I can't tell you exact cooking time - I didn't noticed it.

Villa D'Este, Tivoli, Italy

This summer my husband had to go to Rome for a work, and since it was on a Friday, we decided to spend a weekend in Rome. I've been there already, so we visited all main places to visit and not main too. After searched up in the Internet I found two places where we have not been - Via Appia Antica and Villa d'Este in Tivoli, small town near Rome.

Trains to Tivoli, where is situated the Villa, are often enough, the journey takes about an hour. From the station it's not so far on foot (well, by our standards, we like trakking), omething about a kilometer. In general, walking through the old town is always a pleasure )

And here is the entrance to the villa:

Villa d'Este is a wonderful and very harmonious combination of natural wealth - an abundance of water, variety of trees and flowers and the amazing fountains and palace. The owner of Villa d'Este was Cardinal d'Este, so it gave the name to the villa. It was built in the 40s of the XVI century. The palace is located on the highest point of the hill, with a magnificent view, and on the hillside is the garden.

There are a lot of shady paths on where you can nicely walk in fresh shadow, many fountains and statues ...

In the northern part there are fountain Water organ with the 15 m waterfall.

There was a rainbow)

Fountain of the Dragons:

I liked of 150 m's Hundred fountains Alley. It is bordered with countless sculptures exuding water. All sculptures are different, I was impressed!

I also need to rest) by the way, you can drink a water)

The palace is a unique example of architecture and painting of the Renaissance. We walked there with pleasure, but I did not take pictures.
